What is Narrative Astrology?
Every astrologer is a storyteller. We look at maps of abstract symbols and tell tales about them. We do this because the human mind runs on stories. Stories are how our species finds meaning.
Narrative Astrology is the practice of stepping back and examining the stories we tell about ourselves and society with the stars. The goal is to tell better stories and make good stories true.
How Can Storytelling Help You Understand Astrology?
Each planet, sign, and house has thousands of associations. When we read the symbols, we are constantly picking and choosing what to emphasize.
How do you know which interpretation to choose?
Your life–and the stories you tell about it–are the map that shows the way.
Why is community important for learning astrology?
Astrology is a language. Trying to learn astrology from books and podcasts is the same as trying to learn French from old school language learning cassettes. You can learn a lot of vocabulary that way, but if you really want to speak the language, you need to connect with others. The more opportunities you have to speak with other humans, the better your skills will become.
The Narrative Astrology Lab is a gentle, immersive learning community with plenty of opportunities to practice your skills with other astrology learners.
